Our Background

🕊️ About Omid Watan Social and Educational Organization (OWSEO)

Omid Watan Social and Educational Organization (OWSEO) is a non-political and non-profit humanitarian relief and development organization based in Afghanistan. We are dedicated to providing life essentials, promoting self-reliance for individuals and communities, and implementing integrated programs to support sustainable livelihoods.

📅 Founded in July 2021, during one of the most intense internal conflicts in Afghanistan, OWSEO was initiated by a group of passionate and committed youth activists. Their shared vision was to:

  • 🌟 Build resilient solidarity
  • 🌈 Encourage people to stay hopeful and claim their rightful place in society
  • 🧠 Raise social and civic awareness
  • 🎓 Promote equal education rights
  • 👩‍🦰 Empower women and girls
  • 🛠️ Provide skill development opportunities
  • 🚨 Address emergency needs in times of crisis

📚 Our Educational Mission

At OWSEO, we believe that education is the cornerstone of any nation. Therefore, we are committed to:

  • 📖 Supporting equal access to education for all
  • 🏫 Providing basic literacy programs
  • 🧵 Offering vocational workshops and practical skills training
  • 👧🏽 Prioritizing marginalized groups—especially girls, youth, persons with disabilities, and those affected by poverty, conflict, and gender-based discrimination

Through education, we aim to empower individuals, transform lives, and foster sustainable development across Afghanistan.

💪 Our Approach: Volunteerism & Community Empowerment

OWSEO delivers its work through the spirit and power of volunteerism 🤝 — mobilizing communities, promoting intercultural exchange, and creating thriving environments for growth and solidarity.

We believe in turning:

  • Poverty into Hope
  • Obstacles into Opportunities
  • Ignorance into Awareness

By celebrating the rich diversity of our country 🇦🇫 and honoring individuals and organizations who have broken the cycle of deprivation and marginalization, we reaffirm our commitment to building a more equitable, inclusive, and resilient Afghanistan.
