🌊 Clean Water for Life

OWSEO’s Safe Drinking Water Solutions in Takhar, Afghanistan

With the generous support of the people of Turkey and in close coordination with the KYDD Association, Omid Watan Social & Educational Organization (OWSEO) has implemented a life-changing water access project across remote areas of Takhar province, Afghanistan.

✅ 17 hand-pump water wells have been successfully installed, providing safe and clean drinking water to families in need.
✅ In addition, 4 solar-powered water systems equipped with 2,000-liter elevated storage tanks have been constructed to ensure consistent and sustainable access to water—especially in areas without electricity.

Each well or system now serves approximately 62 families, offering a clean, hygienic, and dignified water source that dramatically reduces waterborne illnesses and the burden of water collection on women and children.

These interventions are more than infrastructure—they are an investment in health, dignity, and long-term community resilience.
